Two scales, aligned ticks

Each random walk has 501 samples. Step deviation controls the spread of its random steps. A zero deviation produces flat data.

New walks use the entered settings and reset the zoom. Randomized settings include positive and negative starts, separated by several orders of magnitude.

The height and walk controls update both charts. Ramp and exact-count controls affect D3 only when uPlot ranging is enabled.

uPlot automatic Y range

Only the left Y axis draws horizontal grid lines. With exact counts enabled, the right ticks stay aligned with those lines.

D3 Canvas comparison

By default, D3 uses nice(count) and ticks(count) with a height-based hint of one interval per 50px. Its two Y axes are independent.

With uPlot ranging enabled, D3 uses uPlot’s bounds, ticks, and numeric labels, including the ramp and exact-count settings.
